Official Start
Glorious Glacier Ride
Innsbruck, 28 August 2026
Ride With Us.
Take Climate Action.
Do you love cycling, real mountain challenges, and meaningful adventures? Then become part of something bigger and join the Glorious Glacier Ride for its official start in Innsbruck.
On Friday, August 28, participants will meet at Cool-INN Park in Innsbruck to set off together toward Chamonix. Our goal is a peloton of at least 50 cyclists—and we'd love for you to join us. Whether you ride the entire route or just the first stage: every kilometer counts.
All participants are also riding for a good cause: Together, we're raising funds for the Klimacent, an NGO from Tyrol and Vorarlberg that works to strengthen climate-resilient forests and protect CO₂-storing wetlands. Hop on your bike, enjoy the Alps, and join us in taking a stand for climate protection.

Get Informed. Get Inspired.
Join the Climate Fresk.
On the evening before the start—Thursday, August 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.—we invite you to an interactive climate workshop at Cool INN Park (Messepark Innsbruck). Together, we'll delve into the scientific aspects of climate change, discuss the consequences of glacier retreat in the Alps, and explore concrete ways to take action ourselves.
More than 2.5 million people worldwide have already participated in the "Climate Fresk" and rated the workshop an average of 9 out of 10. Come by and find out why. Food and drinks will be provided.
Both the Climate Fresk workshop and participation in the Start Peloton on August 28 are free of charge.
